Towards that end, he visits Christine Verdon (Joanna Pettet), one of the members of the design team for the Phoenix prototype, and who's suspected of being an accessory to its hijacking, with Banacek reminding her during the interview that Wexler isn't as accommodating as he is when it comes to securing such information concerning the Phoenix's whereabouts.
In this episode, the second in Banacek's first season, Thomas Banacek (George Peppard) is hired to locate the whereabouts of Project Phoenix, a prototye for a fuel-efficient vehicle, before the insurers of the Phoenix prototype are obliged to pay a ransom for the prototype's return, or before Wexler, a competing investigator, finds the prototype.
